Submitted PS w/ Embarrassing Mistake

Post by TX_UH » Wed Oct 29, 2014 6:36 pm

So I submitted my application to the University of Texas today and was happy to have another app completed. About an hour later, unfortunately, I realized I had stupidly referred to the "University of Texas Law School" not once, but TWICE in my PS, while it should be the "University of Texas School of Law" I feel like a complete idiot.

But now what?

Is there some way to resubmit? Am I stuck with it? Should I contact their admissions office and try to convince them I'm not a complete impertinent clown? ...Or is this a trivial mistake that won't ding me that badly?

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it would look worse if you tried to contact them about something so trivial. It's not like you put the wrong school.

I think you should print out this post and frame it so you can hang it next to your diploma in a couple years.
