Should I write a new PS for some schools I've already applied to?

Reapplying--New Statement?

Post by Tuxedo » Wed Oct 22, 2014 10:25 am

Quick question, TLS.

I applied to some schools for c/o 2017, didn't like my LSAT score or my options, and retook and did better. Some of the schools that WLed me last go-round will receive a second application from me with the new score. Is it safe to use the same PS at those schools? I know the PS doesn't count for much overall but I don't want some adcomm thinking "this sounds super familiar" and thinking there's some kind of plagiarism issue.

You need to check school by school. Penn specifically requests a new PS. Stanford demands only an updated PS.
