If you take a look at me, I look about as Caucasian as the next guy, but I'm actually 50% Lebanese as my mother is 2nd generation US. I'm incredibly proud of my maternal heritage, but hadn't considered bringing it up in my PS until a young attorney friend of mine encouraged I make note of it.
So what would be the TLS consensus on this? Is there value in my being half Lebanese thus making me part of a law school's diversity efforts or is it no biggie and I shouldn't bring it up unless I had already planned on mentioning it? Thanks!

Re: Ethnicity question regarding PS
Your PS isn't supposed to be a grab bag of positives. You're supposed write a clear, focused, coherent story. If being 1/2 Lebanese is part of that, then by all means. If not, then don't stuff it in just to get it in.
I think you can let adcoms know more tactfully. Do you speak Arabic? Put it on your resume. Done.

Thanks for the insight. I just posted my 2nd draft of my PS for review and it doesn't mention my heritage anywhere on it. I'll plan on leaving it out and consider sharing it somewhere subtly on my resume.
