Depends on the professional.
If they have hands on experience inside of law admissions (preferably at a T14) then I think it is worth it. It's a once in a lifetime expense.
A lot of people on here would be against paying. Many think that you can find everything you need on TLS. I, and others, help people with their PSs here, but we can't help everyone, and most need A TON of help. Some PSs are really so poor I don't even know where to start.
You want someone who is familiar with law school admissions and can write well. These people are out there. Do some googling
