Personal Statement Topic Question

Post by laballermvp9 » Thu Dec 12, 2013 12:50 am

So for my Personal Statement, I mentioned how my undergraduate institution was my "dream school." But I did so because it is relevant to the circumstances I mentioned in the essay. I was wondering if law schools will frown upon this? For the record, I did not mention the school's name at all in the paper. I'm satisfied with the PS, so should I leave it as is or revise it? Any input would be appreciated!

I don't think it matters. Do you mind posting the entire essay here?

I don't see how this could be viewed negatively...or, if it is, then the adcoms have a problem. Going to your dream school for undergrad is a good thing. I don't understand why you wouldn't just state the name of the school in your essay though - it's not like the adcoms won't know where you attended, which will be in your resume, on the LSAC application, in the transcripts, etc.
