My top choice is UCLA, and it is the only school that has Critical Race Studies, so I wrote a programmatic contribution going over my experience last year with my roommate, who essentially went bat-poo crazy over me being (half) Mexican. It is basically what I was going to submit as my PS + a little bit about UCLA's program in particular.
TL;DR What is the consensus on discussing race in your Personal Statement?

It's fine. It sounds like it helps explain your motivation for attending law school, and UCLA in particular. But, as with many things, it all depends on the details.edited wrote:My top choice is UCLA, and it is the only school that has Critical Race Studies, so I wrote a programmatic contribution going over my experience last year with my roommate, who essentially went bat-poo crazy over me being (half) Mexican. PS: I'd avoid a TLS account with my real name (if that is indeed your real name). Try and get your name changed if you can. PM a moderator or administrator.
