Is it beneficial to address "why law" in my personal statement if the requirement asks for "important or usual aspect of you not otherwise apparent in your application"? It is a must to address "why law"?

i did address that. i think it is important that to let admissions committee know that you know what you are doing.
but i do see quite a few essays that didn't talk about this...so..
