Hey, I'm new to the forum but I just have 2 quick questions about the Personal Statement:
1. Thoughts on using a quotation? On the TLS forum, there are a lot of samples that use this tactic but Berkeley's website explicitly says not to use a quotation. I was just wondering if this was representative of law schools' views on quotations or an anomaly.
2. Should I tailor the statement for each school to which I'm applying? Or can I keep it general?
Thanks so much!
Lizzy

Re: 2 Questions-Quotations & Tailoring PS to Specific Schools?
i was inclined to tailor my PS to each school but last Saturday at Houston LSAC forum at least Univ of Houston Law Center admission staff told me that "we know what we have and we don't want to see you talk about us, we only want to see who you are". So i guess i won't be tailoring it for each school...unless you really really want to go there. but sometimes the school will require a "why us" essay so i guess you can save it for that one.
