acknowledge ps in ps? Forum

In my ps I am basically discussing a job I had where I was given the choice of accepting a much more difficult position or staying where I was with relatively little stress. My question is can I acknowledge the obvious choice as this is a personal statement and it wouldn't make sense if I had chosen the latter...something along the lines of "Now this wouldn't be much of a personal statement if I had chosen that latter, so..." or would this be a mistake?

I personally wouldn't phrase it like that because I'd be afraid that adcomms would think I only took the position so I could bolster my application. I'd recommend avoiding it and focusing on the how the position helped shape your professional skills and demeanor.
