It's really unclear.
It doesn't tell me why you left school and for how long. Something about not liking your major, not liking the city/school, being diagnosed with a tumor, AND joining the army? What?
In 2005 I was diagnosed with a neurofibruomatic tumor and left school to get treatment. After a successful recovery, I realized that I had been dissatisfied with my choice of major for some time and wanted to pursue other opportunities. Instead of returning to school, I joined the Army and served for X years. After obtaining my honorable discharge in 20XX, I have since refocused on my academic career.
