Ok to post PS?
I've heard that adcoms can find you on TLS. Does that make it risky to post a PS to be critiqued?

post anonymously, it's not like they're not going to read a version of it later. They would understand that they are reading a rough draft if they find you here. Also, they have better things to do than troll the law school personal statements forum

I was just curious if they'd look down on you using TLS to have others revise your staement. Even iif you post anonymously they could still find the same statement posted.

You can always just delete it once its revised. I doubt they'd remember it.

i doubt putting in the effort to obtain the best possible finished product would be viewed negatively.
i also doubt (as was already noted) an adcomm has the time, energy, or desire to read through and remember all of the personal statements posted here.

I also agree it seems unlikely that adcoms lurk too much on TLS but others have insisted that they match applicants to usernames.

I find it hard to believe that the adcomms will care either way. They want our best work to be submitted; if we have to post it on here to get critiqued, then so be it. Now if you're talking about having someone else write portions of your essay, then that's a different story.

Re: Ok to post PS?
I had an admissions Dean specifically mention my choosing thread on TLS. Several deans have accounts and post here on occasion. A few have their own threads. That being said, I still don't think getting feedback from TLS on your PS is going to hurt you, even if they see it and know it is you.Anonymous User wrote:I also agree it seems unlikely that adcoms lurk too much on TLS but others have insisted that they match applicants to usernames.
