The "journey of self discovery" seems to be a pretty common PS topic, and it shouldn't hurt you in any way as long as you fully articulate how it helped you grow into the person you are now who knows what they want. You need to walk a line between explorative and aloof, but when written correctly, it can serve as an effective look into who you are, which is really the main purpose of your PS if you're not hitting the "why I want law school" theme.

For the record, with this journey path, be careful not to let a resume-style PS come out of it. Using stuff that is on your resume is not in itself a bad thing, but if you run a virtual play-by-play of what the ADCOM will see on your resume, you will have wasted an opportunity to further round out your image to them and it will come off as lazy and unimaginative.

Good luck!
