Why Biglaw

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jun 18, 2013 8:26 pm

My primary reason for transferring up is because I would like to pursue big law; secondary reason is prestige.

I do genuinely care about doing well as a professional, and I do like the study of law, so I'm not only after the $. However, I'm not sure how I can convey my big law desires in a thoughtful manner.

The main reasons to want to do big law other than for the money are that you have an interest in business and finance or an interest in complex litigation or both. Another reason might be an interest in a particular practice area that is easiest to enter via big law, like tax or IP.

My resume does have a very narrow focus towards finance. I'll discuss my past successes in that industry. Thanks for your help.
