Personal Statement Too Long

Post by nbahri05 » Sun Jan 20, 2013 10:36 am

Mason Law requires us not to exceed 650 words (500 according to the application). Though I read this in the instructions, as the application process went on it slipped my mind, and I forgot to edit my statement down before submitting it Friday. Is there a way I can still send them an edited version of my statement before they review my application? It has been almost 2 days, but a long weekend. Thank you!

Edit it down to 500. Then send GMU an email. Say that X said 650 but you realized elsewhere it said 500, and you have an updated version that conforms to the requirements if they would prefer.

Unless you're saying it's 500 and you want to use 650. In which case I'd say just forget about it. It will certainly annoy someone, and although idk if that person will happen to be the one reading your file and deciding on it it's probably not worth it.
