Standardized test addendum advice

Post by t0wlie » Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:47 pm

Looking for some advice if I should submit a short addendum about under performing on standardized tests and my scores not being indicative of my academic abilities.

1st SAT: 1680, 2nd SAT: 1760
SAT II scores of 490 (world history) and 600 (literature)
LSAT Score: 160
Median UCSB SAT: 1930

but my undergrad GPA was 3.86, far above the mean GPA of 3.25 for my school.

Should I submit an explanatory addendum and what should this include? thanks for the help

No, don't make excuses. Law schools don't really care if your LSAT score isn't indicative of your academic abilities; they only care how your datum point will affect their USNWR ranking. An addendum of this sort will likely have no impact on your cycle. You should retake (don't waste that awesome GPA).
