I know LSAT/GPA are the deal breakers. But, I was wondering if having letters of recommendation from Professor's who are alumni at the same university you are applying to, or even prestigious university's is considered a positive, or if its effect is nonexistent.

For the most part, they should come from people at the institution where YOU study. If one of your recommenders happened to attend a law school to which you are applying, then it might be appropriate to ask them to mention it in their letter. Similarly, if you are debating between two different recommenders and one attended the institution to which you are applying, you should ask that person to write the letter. Whatever you do, don't compromise the strength of the letter for the reputation of the writer.
