Re: HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT PICKING TOPICS FOR THE PS?
You have some good stuff to work with, but you need to focus in on a particular message.
My advice would be to write both a PS and a diversity statement (even if a school doesn't list a diversity statement as an option, you can, and in your case you should, write one).
A good message for your personal statement could focus on your work as an RA, your involvement in the Model Organization of American States, and your desire to do work in crisis management. (I wouldn't talk about your experience in the personal injury law firm in high school, basketball, pool, etc.)
A good message for your diversity statement could focus on being a military brat, living in multiple locations, being the first sibling to graduate from college, and being involved in the Black Organization Striving for Success.
