In July of 2009, I was arrested and charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. A friend and I, after having consumed alcohol at a bar and for reasons I do not know, vandalized a car in the bar parking lot. Thankfully, I was allowed to enter a pre-trial diversion program and was adjudicated nolle prosequi upon completion of the program. My decision to partake in that act of vandalism is among the worst decisions of my life and I learned a great deal about personal responsibility from my punishment. I hope the admission committee views this as an anomaly of character and not a true reflection of the person I am today.
