I wouldn't change a word. This is an outstanding & very effective PS, in my opinion. Apply above your numbers with confidence.

I concur. You write in a way that is touching, and I think it stands strongly as is. Although I empathized with you, somehow you avoided sounding like you were looking for empathy. I was compelled to read the whole thing; you kept me wanting to know more.

really good statement. i don't think there's too much ethos because the subject of the story requires it.
