I used my diversity statement to highlight the domestic struggles I went through in high school and how it shaped me and made me determined to succeed in college and beyond. I'm a URM (Puerto Rican) so should I be using the diversity statement to speak about my Puerto Rican heritage? Should I be using the domestic struggles as a topic for my personal statement instead or is it fine as my diversity statement? I doubt many people have had those types of experiences hence why I made it my diversity statement even though I could not go into much detail about the events I mentioned because my diversity statement is only a little over a page long.
Also the stuff's a bit personal so I don't want to post it here.
What do you think? Does it sound like material more suited for a personal statement or is it fine to use that as my diversity statement and find another topic for my personal statement?

I think it is fine for a DS.
