I just wrote my first draft and am running into two issues:
1) Length. Two pages double-spaced is NOTHING. Pointing out extraneous/unnecessary parts would be much appreciated.
2) The "why law school" component (or there lack of). I am currently a senior in undergrad and my PS is about an experience in my life that doesn't really have anything to do with why I want to go to law school (it's more a demonstration of my qualities that would make me a suitable candidate, etc.). Should I be trying to work it in? At the moment, mine reads more akin to a college admissions prompt.
PM me your e-mail address if you'd like to swap PS!

I'd modify this slightly: Yale definitely wants you to address Why Lawslack_academic wrote:As to your second thing, don't make that connection if you don't have a strong reason for doing so. It's more important that you convey something not apparent in the rest of your application. HYSCCN all ask for variations on this and make no mention of interest in studying law.carboncopyx wrote:I just wrote my first draft and am running into two issues:

The actual prompt for Yale never alludes to "Why Law" or the specific motivations of applicants to law school. It reads like the prompts of all the other schools. What differentiates Yale in this "why law" category?
