I'm sorry, but no. Do not write about yourself in the third person. Do not write about your former life as a drug user and worker in the drug trade. This will not impress adcomms, regardless of the degree to which you've changed your behavior between then and now. If you have arrests and convictions to disclose for C&F reasons, do so in an addendum. If not, do not touch the subject.

Your previous PS needed a lot of work, but I actually liked it better than this one.

And what the other guy said. don't write about your criminal past, ESPECIALLY if you were never arrested for it. WTF. Being a former drug dealer does not make you a diversity admit.

Write about where you are now and why you want to be a lawyer. You don't have to have a dramatic story. You can focus on what you do now and then say something about how you managed to overcome a tough start to your life. I guess my point is you don't have to pick some big drama to write about. If you refer to the tough times you have had, you don't have to describe them in direct language.

Just please don't write about drugs or suicidal depression (or any criminal activity.)

Maybe talk about how you went back to school after you dropped out?

Maybe reading this link will help you get some ideas?

Also, please understand that writing about yourself in the 3rd person distances yourself from the reader. You have to use the word "I".
