Diversity Statement?

Post by phillyboy101 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 2:32 am

This is a question on my villanova app and I was wondering if this is what is considered the 'diversity statement'

"The School of Law welcomes all to its community, regardless of race, sex, religion or creed, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, age, economic status or disability. We actively recruit excellent students from diverse backgrounds. If you would like the Committee to consider any economic, cultural, or social factors that have had an impact on your identity, please describe them below (or attach a separate statement). (maximum characters 500)number of characters left is displayed after the field"

Also, is it protocol for me to try to answer this no matter what? Even if I'm a really normal guy (white, male, catholic, upper middle class, etc). The only thing I can think of that might be differnet is being a science undergrad major but I still dont think that warrants an entire essay....

No.

You don't need to write a DS. More precisely, you should not write a DS.
