name dropping?
Is it appropriate to drop a couple of names? For instance - if you worked with people in business/politics, would it be poor taste to mention several names.

Re: name dropping?
Never drop names in the statement for the sake of dropping names. But if the person is an important part of the narrative, and it would detract from the statement to not speak about the person, then of course you should put it. But that has more to do with the importance the person played in your experience than the glamor of the name itself.
