Mentioning my website or company

Post by ibopm » Tue Oct 25, 2011 10:16 am

In my personal statement I talk about how I created a website that served many students on campus and also the fact that I started my own company. Should I be mentioning the link or the name of these sites at all? Would it be an advantage or a disadvantage?

It would be an advantage, I think. You want adcomms to know that these are real entities that you created. In your personal statement, you should mention then by name. A link would be superfluous but I definitely suggest listing it on your resume and, if applicable, a link to your company site as well.
