DO YOU PUT YOUR GPA ON YOUR RESUME?
I've been hearing two different opinions on this issue. Some say you should put your gpa (whether it be cumulative or major - just the higher one) on your resume, and others say to just put honors/awards stuff without notating gpa... super confused.

For application purposes, just put your LSDAS GPA. That is the only GPA figure they care about, and they already have a full breakdown of your grades from year to year, so no amount of manipulation of that figure (i.e. GPA within major, GPA at new school vs. old school, etc.) will fool them for a second.
The only way I would put something else is if my undergrad GPA were highly variant (i.e. if I graduated with a 3.9, but my LSDAS was 3.5 due to retakes that aren't erased from LSDAS calculation). But even so, thats useless since they have full access to your LSDAS report.

only if it's good / you have nothing else to show for yourself or set you apart. i just had an experience interviewing where my competition put their gpa on their resume, but had literally zero WE outside of LS. I have tons of WE and my GPA is much lower, so just leave it off. Nobody ever asks---always is impressed with my WE. I always get the job.

I would think that on your resume for apps you should list your Major GPA or your University GPA, if one is better than your LSAC GPA. They'll see your LSAC GPA, but they probably won't give much attention to the others if you don't point it out.
As for jobs, I list my major and my minor GPAs separately because they're both very good and have prompted interview questions. But I think it's all a matter of personal preference and you should do whatever makes you look better.

thanks for the great feedback all of you guys! I was confused because I was looking at sample harvard resumes, and literally NONE of them have any sort of gpa written on their resumes.

Of course you put your GPA on your resume. The question is if you put your MPH on it. I'm in the Dom Mazzetti school that suggests you include it.
