Which would be a better topic for a DS? Forum

I have to write a DS for one school (required) and another wants a statement of purpose in addition to the PS, for which they want me to include aspects of a diversity statement. I have two potential topics I thought I could write about, as a middle-class Caucasian woman (not the stereotypical diversity traits):

1. I follow Goddess Spirituality (aka I am developing an identity as a witch)...the only thing I see as adding to my personal diversity.
2. As someone who has been privileged my entire life and always been in the majority, going to the U.S. Virgin Islands and interning for a non-profit organization focused on immigrants and refugees often put me in situations in which I was the only Caucasian person. So it made me much more aware of how privileged I am, etc. etc.

Any thoughts?

I'd stay away from the first topic as it may be alienating
