I think that could be a strong PS. As with most things, it will mostly be made in the execution. IMO, start writing and see where it goes. Then just be ready to edit, edit, and edit some more.

That honestly is great to hear, thank you so much! Do you by chance have any thoughts regarding the fact that the rest of my resume doesn't really reflect any additional emphasis on public service?shock259 wrote:I think that could be a strong PS. Re: Opinions about a PS topic
If you can highlight your experience and talk about it appropriately, then you shouldn't have a problem. But you may want to consider how much time you spent volunteering or interning each week-- if you spent over 10 hours a week, for instance, then you want to mention that on your resume and describe it in your statement. If you interned for only three hours a week and volunteered at the shelter once a month, then maybe you should reconsider.lawschool89 wrote: That honestly is great to hear, thank you so much! How does working with homeless people make you want to be a lawyer?

Re: Opinions about a PS topic
After seeing the replies I've been putting some more thought into it, and I don't think i'm going to use this as my topic. I've realized that, even though public advocacy does seem interesting, I doubt that it's a career path i'm actually going to take. I think i've been spending too much time focusing on what I think law schools want to hear, and less about my genuine interests. Well, back to the drawing board i guess
