Mentioning religion in WhyEssays

Post by NiccoloA » Mon Oct 10, 2011 10:57 am

Obviously it shouldn't be the only reason, and obviously at most schools it shouldn't be a reason at all, but I'm curious.

Do places like Notre Dame and Catholic University give points for Why Essays that mention an applicants Catholicism as reason for attendance?

Mormonism for BYU?

Just curious.

They do, it's no different than citing a particular program, clinic, or professor at another school. Either way, they want these reasons to be well-researched and to carry real weight, not dropped in casually just to earn points.
