I touch on some of the things I would potentially expand on in my Diversity Statement in my Personal Statement...is this okay, or will it be redundant and annoying?

Hard to tell with one line of info, but I can't see it hurting. May be a good thing to cut if page limit becomes an issue

I strongly recommend that you aim for zero repetition. The essays should stand apart. Think of the adcomms - they reads hundreds of essays; many people repeat their PS content in their DS; it's just annoying. Do what you can to differentiate the two, or don't submit a DS at all.

It would suit you best to write about them independently, but touching on it a bit wouldn't hurt you too badly. Just be sure to not leave the adcomm hanging or, even worse, write an incomplete PS.
