prompt question

Post by beta » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:53 pm

vanderbilt's prompt says: Present yourself to the committee. You may write about your background, experiences, interest in law, aspirations, or any topic you feel will help readers of your app get a sense of you as a person and prospective law student.

My question is what does "as a prospective law student" mean? my current personal statement does not mention why i want to attend law school but highlights qualities of my personality such as tenacity, ability to deal with people well, able to take on challenges etc. through a story. i believe these qualities would highlight the type of law student i would be. am i on the right track? or is this prompt asking me to mention why i want to study law?

vanderbilt is my number one choice, and i want to make sure i am answering the prompt correctly! thanks a lot.
