Time needed to write a good/great PS

Post by Trequartista » Mon Aug 15, 2011 8:19 pm

How much time does it normally take to write a good PS? I am concerned that leaving the PS and other application essays until after I take the October LSAT is a big mistake.

I'm not sure how much time necessarily, but I've found when I need a break from studying, I try to spend a little of it working on my PS and other pieces...I feel like it can take a while to really get a few solid pieces out that are perfectly crafted. It also depends on how much actual time (like if you work 80 hrs a week, might be difficult to create a really amazing PS in 3 weeks) you are going to have to devote to working on it between the LSAT and when you plan on submitting your apps

for me, it took from when I started writing my first draft to my final draft, about 2 months and 20 different drafts

3 weeks, 3 days, and 3 hours exactly.
