Opinions on PS/DS topic overlap Forum

I have a decent draft of my PS done, enough to know that I'm sticking with the general theme. I'm also writing a DS. My PS starts with talking about bullying and how it affected me. The topic I want to discuss in my DS begins with the same bullying incidents I mention in my PS, but I want it to focus on a very different issue.

The question is, how do I approach this? Do I basically tell the same story to begin me PS and DS? Do I explicitly refer the reader to the PS in the opening paragraph of the DS? Should I not even try to do this at all?
