DS topic for PS?

Post by sven » Sun Jul 17, 2011 3:10 pm

Is it bad if I make my PS about my experiences as an immigrant and how they have affected me? This would be my only essay because it would make a DS redundant. Would I be better off just coming up with a different PS topic?

Firstly I wouldn't make your PS and DS the same topic, but you don't need to do a DS. A poster on here (vanwinkle) has talked about doing something he calls the "DS in the PS" method where your PS basically incorporates what would normally go in a DS. I think that either doing that or having both a PS and a DS are perfectly valid ways to go about it. But as I mentioned, if you do both I would not make them about the same topic because that just gets repetitive for the person reading them.
