Re: Critique-Rewrite #?...I lost track
I can give some direct feedback when I get home from work and have time to really go through your statement thoroughly. However, my initial suggestion is that this should be your diversity statement rather than your personal statement. I come from a similar background (queer black woman) and ended up writing a DS about the intersectionalities of my identity while keeping my PS focused on my reasons for wanting to become a lawyer. I posted my DS in this thread if you wanna take a look: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =#p4398932

Re: Critique-Rewrite #?...I lost track
I'm not quite sure how to make the story into a personal statement worthy of any law school. I am trying to focus on how the loss of my family because of my sexuality defined me as a person and prepared me for the rigors of law school.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
In regards to your question, I no longer identify as a Christian but as spiritual. However; I don't believe all Christians are intolerant and I don't want my personal statement to be come across as being anti-Christian.
