"Personal" Personal Statements?
Do you guys make individual personal statements for each school? Like a different paragraph in each explaining why you want to go that school? Or did most of you just do one generic one and send it out everywhere you applied?

I did a generic statement, but I also submitted a "Why X Law School" statement to almost every school I applied to.

Did you do this because many of the schools you applied asked for that type of statement?socraticmethodman wrote:I did a generic statement, but I also submitted a "Why X Law School" statement to almost every school I applied to.

Mine was generic, but I had a conclusion-type paragraph that personalized it a TINY bit - i.e. one-two sentences where I briefly mention some relevant programs (and the school name, of course).

That's exactly what I planned on doing. Thank you!czelede wrote:Mine was generic, but I had a conclusion-type paragraph that personalized it a TINY bit - i.e. one-two sentences where I briefly mention some relevant programs (and the school name, of course).
