I'm planning on explaining my second semester senior year GPA (3.3)
and a leave of absence second semester junior year together in one.
1) leave of absence second semester junior year- my mom died so I attended an in-state school for a semester to live at home with my dad
2) 3.3 gpa second semester senior year - I suddenly went deaf in my left ear (which is a medical emergency) and because of the severe vertigo that accompanied it, I missed a good chunk of the semester. I missed getting cum laude by .003 points as a result. I would've had at least 3.65 cumulative GPA but it went down to 3.497 because it was hard to make up all the missed work.
Is this too much to say on one page? These are true events. I had a really tough junior/senior year in college as you can imagine but I don't want to sound so dramatic.

add dates and give examples that show that performance is out of the norm. you'll be good.
