Pepperdine mission statement help...

Post by samfii » Fri Nov 12, 2010 2:21 pm

Ok, so I'm really hesitant to add this part into my mission statement. it's obviously just a small part of my essay but do you think it's not good to focus on someone else in my own mission statement?

"[removed. PM me if you want to read it]"

I know i'd probably be better off without it but I kind of love it haha... So, to keep or to banish?

For most schools, I think that perspective won't help you, but for Pepperdine it seems pretty fitting. I'd say go for it - just tighten up the wording.

As written, it is unlikely to help your law school application.

thanks chip3341! Ya, I still need to proofread and fix the grammar, I was just worried about the content and whether it would hurt me.

But do you think it would hurt it as far as going off topic?

I feel like the mission statement is more like an inspirational statement or something that talks about your connection between life/spirituality/values and school- rather than being about law school itself.
Does that even make sense? haha it made sense in my head.
