I'm pretty sure this is a minor (non)issue but I've been looking at this sentence so long that I can't even tell anymore
We were in the ______ room at the ____________ Hospital, where I had been working with several diabetes patients as part of my clerkship.
Do you guys think "as a part" or "as part" is correct in this situation? I can't seem to tell which one sounds correct at this point.

I'm sure there's some arcane grammar rule, but to my ear either sounds fine, but I prefer "as part" just as its currently writtenAUC2MIC wrote:Please don't quote
