Submitting diversity statement for school that don't ask?
Is this a bad idea? I am wondering about University of Texas.

Don't know about Texas specifically but this is usually a bad idea. It comes off as you either being a huge gunner or ignoring the instructions and threw together the same application for every school. Unless your DS is some extremely compelling and unique story that will absolutely distinguish you from the pack AND justify making the adcomms sit there and read extra material, then don't even consider it.
