I'm referencing my first choice undergraduate school (which I did not get in to) as part of my PS. Is it inappropriate to name the school specifically, or is it not a big deal?
I don't think it would matter if I were applying to that same university's law program, but I am not.
Thanks

Talking about failing to achieve something you wanted in an academic setting seems poor, but it is hard to tell without the actual PS.
As for the reference, it depends on what manner you are pointing it out.

It doesn't seem like it would be inappropriate, but it could give the impression that you are still dwelling on it. BK is right, without the PS it's hard to say, but it still doesn't seem like a good idea, imo.

I don't know if it's inappropriate, but I don't know why you would mention it?

Unless you worked hard and transfered, and got into this school. It seems like a waste of time.

But if it were a case of transferring, they could figure out what school it was by looking at his resume so it wouldn't matter.jarofsoup wrote:Unless you worked hard and transfered, and got into this school. It seems like a waste of time.
