grammatical point
Two spaces after the period or one? I've grown up hearing and using two spaces. I have a few friends who are convinced I am wrong. One advantage of one space is extra space for more important things like, well, letters, but I don't think a few extra words are worth a grammatical mistake.

The new standard is one space. I work in a law firm and have been told by multiple attorneys about this.

thx. I'm assuming this also applies to exclamation points and question marks?

Yes. I think there are a few exceptions, like email, but none to worry about when writing a PS. Basically, the only situation you use two spaces is when you are using a typewriter font.
