How long should my personal and diversity statements be. Just trying to see how much I should write. thanks

Is it viewed negatively if you do not use all the space allocated to you for the personal statement?

I mean would it be bad if I only wrote a 2 page personal statement for a school like Boalt even though I am allowed four pages?
