What's important is that you tell a story that makes admission counselors have a viable degree of insight into your character. It doesn't need to be spectacular, it just needs to accomplish that. That's my feelings on the matter anyway. Just be careful that you don't let your PS turn into a resume if you write about your job. I think it's rather odd that you think you're undergrad degree is a "problem" - whenever people tell me of things like this, I always tell them about the gal who got a degree in Dance at my UG and then attended NYU for law. Don't worry about it.
Personally, I don't think you're obligated to write about your education or your job in the least. If you can tie those things into a competent narrative regarding why you want to go to law school, then do so.
