Re: Is this a good enough reason to write a GPA addendum?
I think you can write a great addendum, but you should also try to leave out the emotion and focus on the details. Just give the adcomms the facts and let them decide what happened. You have enough stuff there that if you just lay it out for them, they'll see the upward GPA trend and that the low GPA years correlate to you working full-time, and take all that into consideration.
Also, read this fully: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 22&t=86526 It should hopefully help you write the best addendum possible.
If you want to focus on the emotional aspects of your story, make that the focus of your Personal Statement. You'd still want a GPA addendum in that case to disclose the facts and point out the upward trend, so you don't have to waste PS space on all of the boring factual information.

I actually have that post tagged, vanwinkle, and after reading it I came up with my question... as it made me eager to write an addendum using your guidelines.
Thanks for the quick response and providing us with such excellent guidance regarding personal statements.
