Accidentaly sent a rough draft PS........

Post by lawman335 » Sun Feb 07, 2010 9:34 am

I'm a non-trad with decent numbers 167/3.67 while working full time (10 years- 5 during school), and grew up poor (diversity statement). I had my package complete, and started submitting- now I realized that I sent in an old draft of my PS to Michigan and Vandy! The grammar and spelling are fine, but the story is not the best... Is it safe to ask them to add in or replace it with the proper draft, or would they just decide that put a pock on my application?

What do adcomms think if they see two personal statements in your file- provided that you can even add or replace?

I accidentally did that last year, and I contacted the admissions committee- they were very understanding, and said that they would ignore the first one (I cant be sure if they did, but I still got in with $$$)

Don't think it will be a problem. Ask them to replace. Good luck!
