GPA/Disability Addendum

I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 24 during the first semester I returned to school following a three year hiatus. After my diagnosis and subsequent treatment, I was able to achieve much higher grades than in the five semesters I attended college without appropriate medication. If the semesters before my diagnosis are discounted, my LSDAS GPA would be 3.6 rather than 3.34. I hope the admissions committee takes this into account when evaluating my application.

In addition, my grades during my first semester at XXX College were adversely affected by working demanding 40+ hour weeks as assistant to visiting professor XXX during her tenure at XXX. Further information detailing my time with Dr. XXX can be found in my personal statement.
