Must Personal Statements have a "Why Law" segment?

Post by melaniec » Wed Jan 13, 2010 3:26 pm

I'm sure there's a thread out there about this, but I can't seem to find it on the search.....It seems as though a lot of personal statements explain how some experience led to an interest in law, whereas others don't even mention law. As for me, my PS topic doesnt necessarily tie in to law, but is definitely a meaningful experience that would help in law. THe PS just wouldn't flow into a "why law" paragraph or anything. Is that a negative? or does it not matter? Thanks for advice.

Why Law section is not necessary.

My PS was pretty non-traditional and didn't have anything close to a "why law" section. I've had a good cycle so far, so I'm going to say it's not necessary.
