Oh ok that makes sense. A really good PS is incredibly difficult to write and having gone through the process I do not envy you beginning it. Start with a topic you are passionate about or something that is a good story and let it develop from there. Save the why law stuff for a fourth or fifth draft. For me it was helpful to think about why I wanted to be a lawyer, ask why a few more times, and then incorporate the answer to that question into my PS. But again to answer your question just start with something that you feel is compelling on its own.
Also btw if you start a thread I'd be happy to contribute or to look at an initial draft if you wanna save your other reviewers for later, better drafts.

Well, I am reapplying next cycle so unfortunately this is the second time I've had to agonize through this. I liked my last cycle PS (although most posters here did not, including Papercut).
