Re: USF 2011
I thought this was an important article to share with those attending USF next year.
Arthur Zief (LinkRemoved) was a law school alum of USF who truly was a rags to riches story. He started USF with nothing, and made an incredibly successful career with his degree. He decided to give back millions to the law school and USF sports, he paid for the new gorgeous law library that bears his wife's name, as well as giving over 70 scholarships per year to USF students. With money that was donated to USF he donated it to FHAR, a program designed to help mentally disabled and challenged students.
I knew him personally, and I have to say I've never known a more caring and generous man. I've met students and families that he's saved, given jobs, and helped to turn their lives around. He truly is an inspiration to all of us that want to be lawyers, and when you attend USF I'm sure you will enjoy and see the many benefits he put into making USF a great law school. He recently passed away, but at least you know he did everything he could to help those less fortunate than him, which is so much more than many can say.
